Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Float Pool team in a high-acuity pediatric environment. This role requires strong PICU experience, with the flexibility to float between PICU, CVPICU, and NICU to meet facility needs. Key Responsibilities

✅ Provide comprehensive care to critically ill pediatric patients in PICU, CVPICU, and NICU settings.
✅ Manage ventilators, central lines, ECMO, and other advanced life support equipment.
✅ Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions using Cerner EHR.
✅ Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
✅ Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, infection control measures, and patient safety guidelines.

Requirements

✔ Education: ASN or BSN from an accredited nursing program.
✔ Experience: 2+ years of RECENT PICU or CVPICU experience required.
✔ Certifications: BLS & PALS (Required).
✔ Licensure: Active or Pending DC RN License accepted.
✔ Float Requirement: Must be comfortable floating between PICU, CVPICU, and NICU.
✔ Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend (EOW); block scheduling available.
✔ RTO (Requested Time Off): Maximum 7 days; if requesting 1 full consecutive week, must extend contract.
