Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for our summer camp program in La Plata, MD. The Summer Camp RN will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of our campers and staff, providing first aid, administering medications, and managing any medical issues that arise. This is a full-time, seasonal position for the duration of the summer camp. Lodging and boarding are provided, and the RN is required to stay on-site during the camp season.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide first aid and emergency medical care to campers and staff as needed.

Administer daily medications and maintain health records for all campers.

Monitor campers for potential health issues and respond to incidents accordingly.

Work with camp leadership to maintain a safe, healthy environment for all participants.

Communicate with parents/guardians regarding any health-related concerns or incidents.

Ensure all health policies and procedures are adhered to during the camp.

Maintain accurate and confidential medical records.

Provide a reassuring and supportive presence to campers and staff alike.
Qualifications:

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Maryland.

Previous nursing experience, preferably in a camp, pediatric, or school setting.

Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start).

Must pass a background check.

Must be available for the full duration of the summer camp season and stay on-site.
